Meet Scott
Scott Russell is an actor and fight choreographer based in Northwest Arkansas and Indianapolis who has worked on numerous stages and several films, both as actor and choreographer.  Scott received his training from The University of Arkansas and The Conservatory at Act One Studios - Chicago, and is a member of the Dueling Arts International, Society of American Fight Directors, Fight Directors Canada, British Academy of Stage and Screen Combat, Nordic Stage Fight Society, and Society of Australian Fight Directors, Inc.  He is also a Certified Teacher Candidate with the National Michael Chekhov Association.

Scott became interested in stage combat after his first class during conservatory.  As an important way to share the story, Scott recognized the lack of training available as well as a large number of undertrained actors in the Indianapolis market (where he resides).  "I often remind myself of the philosphy 'To do what ought to be done, but would not have been done unless I did it, I thought to be my duty,' and here was this void around me.  With my love for the craft and art of stage combat, I knew I needed to do whatever I could to try to create the environment necessary to give actors the proper training necessary to believably capture and entrance their audiences."

Scott continues to travel internationally and train wherever he can, allowing him the ability to have several teachers and coaches, "each bringing something unique and special to the experience."

Scott has been trained in several technqiues to help him, including Meisner, Hagen, Linklater Voice, Viewpoints, Suzuki, and Alexander, and has found that all can be useful at any point along the journey.
"I love stepping into a new class.  Every class is an opportunity to fail, and to grow.  My teachers have been excellent, each bringing something unique and special to the experience."
